Kathakali is one of the most vibrant and expressive classical dance forms of India, originating from Kerala. Known for its elaborate costumes, intricate makeup, and dramatic storytelling, Kathakali brings ancient epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata to life through powerful performances.
At RR Nrutyashala & Arts, students are trained in the fundamentals of Kathakali including facial expressions (Navarasas), hand gestures (Mudras), and body movements. This dance form not only builds physical strength and discipline but also enhances emotional expression and storytelling ability.
